A couple of weeks ago, I announced at Mass that in anticipation of the official “kick off” of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee Love One Another Capital Campaign, parishioners in our faith community would share their stories of stewardship.
Stewardship, simply put, is how we live our faith and share God’s love everyday -- through our prayer, our time, our talent, and our treasure. Although we are only sharing a few examples of stewardship during the month of September, at St. Mary we have many faithful parishioners who are living out our faith and sharing God’s love every day who could have been asked to share their stories.
As we hear these stewardship talks throughout the month, I encourage you to think about your own experiences. St. Josemaria Escriva tells us “there is something holy, something divine, hidden in the most ordinary situations” and it is up to us to discover it. What do you see happening in your life because of how you live your faith? When have you seen God work through you?
