St. Mary's New Associate Pastor: Fr. Andrew Linn

Dear Parishioners,

A Blessed Palm Sunday to you all—  and a Blessed Holy Week! I hope you are able to enter into this sacred time with a reverent spirit.

A few weeks back, I announced that the Archbishop had requested the reassignment of Fr. Rick Wendell.

This Sunday, I am pleased to announce that Fr. Andrew Linn has been assigned to our parishes. Fr. Linn has spent the last three years serving at St. Monica’s and St. Eugene’s in Whitefish Bay. In fact, he was a seminarian of mine when I was at Sacred Heart Seminary and School of Theology.

He is the oldest of seven children, most of whom still live in the North Shore area. After he majored in Philosophy at the University of Notre Dame as a Naval ROTC midshipman, he served as a Surface Warfare Officer in the United States Navy onboard the USS BATAAN (LHD 5) and USS ASHLAND (LSD 48). Fr. Linn resigned his active duty commission in 2012 to enter Saint Francis de Sales Seminary for the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. He was ordained in 2016.

Fr. Linn will be officially joining us on June 18, 2019. Please pray for him and the two parishes, as well as Fr. Rick in these next two months. At this time, I have not been made aware of Fr. Rick Wendell’s next assignment. I invite you to participate in the great ancient rites of the Triduum. St. Mary Most Holy,

St. Anthony the Hermit, pray for us!

Blessed Easter in advance.

Peace,

Msgr. Ross Shecterle
