Many Hands Make Light Work: Join Us as a 'Love One Another' Campaign Volunteer

Last weekend (Aug.13-14) during our pulpit announcements, Fr. Linn and I spoke about the Love One Another Campaign. This is an opportunity for our faith community to invest in needs of our parish and support important Catholic ministries for the poor and those in need, Saint Francis de Sales Seminary, the permanent diaconate, Catholic schools and other vital ministries throughout the 10 counties of southeastern Wisconsin.

The Love One Another Campaign will provide future financial stability for the Archdiocese of MIlwaukee and our parish, as well as the extraordinary parish and archdiocesan needs not met through the Catholic Stewardship Appeal. Contributions are received by the Love One Another Trust only for the use and purposes set forth in the Love One Another Campaign. Our goal at St. Mary is $1,996,411. Of the funds we raise, 60% will be for important needs of our parish—more if we exceed our goal.

One of the first steps of the campaign is to form a volunteer committee for our parish. I would like you all to pray about your involvement as a volunteer. We are incredibly blessed in our parish to have faithful parishioners who dedicate their time, talent, and treasure. Because of your commitment and dedication to the parish, I am asking you to participate in the Love One Another Campaign and help shape the future of our parish. Please join me and other leaders from the parish Tuesday, Aug. 30, at 6 pm in the St. Mary Parish School Lower Level Conference Rooms for a Volunteer Orientation meeting. I ask that you prayerfully consider coming to learn about our needs, even if you are not able to dedicate much of your time.

This is a very flexible commitment, and we need the help of many hands to make light work.
