Sacraments - Confirmation

"Baptism, the Eucharist, and the sacrament of Confirmation together constitute the 'sacraments of Christian initiation,' whose unity must be safeguarded. It must be explained to the faithful that the reception of the Sacrament of Confirmation is necessary for the completion of baptismal grace. For by the Sacrament of Confirmation, the baptized are more perfectly bound to the church and are enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit. Hence they are, as true witnesses of Christ, more strictly obliged to spread and defend the faith by word and deed" (Catechism of the Catholic Church,1285).

High School Confirmation

The Sacrament of Confirmation is usually celebrated during a youth's junior year of high school during the Easter Season. Please call the Christian Formation office to register for Confirmation preparation classes. The preparation includes classes, service to the community, and a retreat experience.

Adult Confirmation

Adults who are not confirmed but have remained active Catholics may register for the collaborative program with our area parishes. The process begins with an orientation session in January, followed by classes from January through March or April (depending on Easter), and concludes with the celebration of Confirmation at the Easter Vigil. For further information, contact the parish office.
